Terms of Service

These terms apply whenever you use megasliders.co.uk (the "Site") or place an order with MegaSliders ("we", "us", "our"). By placing an order, you agree to them. If anything here doesn't make sense, email us first at hello@capitalwebsystems.co.uk — we're a small, real team and happy to explain.

MegaSliders makes personalised, laser-cut wooden medal sliders — engraved with the name, event details and optional logo you provide, and cut in the shape and colour you choose. Every slider is made to order once you check out; nothing is stocked ready-made.

Colours, wood grain and engraving depth vary slightly piece to piece, being cut from natural wood — the on-screen preview is a close guide, not an exact photographic match.

All prices shown are in GBP. Payment is taken securely through Stripe when you check out; we never see or store your card details. For bulk and team-page batch orders, payment is taken as one single charge for the whole batch.

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it, and a contract is formed, when we take payment and email you an order confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order — for example if we can't produce the design you've asked for, if there's a pricing error, or if the artwork you've uploaded breaches these terms — in which case we'll refund you in full.

You're responsible for the accuracy of any name, text, date or time you ask us to engrave — please check it carefully before ordering, as each slider is cut specifically for you. If you spot a mistake shortly after ordering, email us immediately and we'll do our best to catch it before production starts.

If you upload a logo or artwork, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and that engraving it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights or break any law. You grant us a licence to reproduce it solely to make your order. We may decline to engrave artwork we reasonably believe is offensive, unlawful, or not yours to use.

We aim to dispatch orders within a reasonable time of confirming them, and will let you know if a batch or bulk order needs longer. Risk in your order passes to you once it's delivered to the address you gave us — please make sure it's correct, as we're not responsible for orders sent to an address you entered incorrectly.

Because every slider is personalised to your order, the standard 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right for online purchases doesn't apply once production has started — see our Refund Policy for the full detail, including what to do if your order arrives faulty or damaged. Nothing here affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or acting without reasonable care, up to the price you paid for the affected order. We're not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else that can't legally be limited.

The MegaSliders name, logo and site content belong to us and may not be copied or reused without permission. This doesn't affect ownership of any logo or artwork you upload — that remains yours.

If you set up a team page or a bulk order for other people (a club, charity, company or event), you're responsible for making sure each runner's name and details are accurate, and for collecting and paying for the whole batch. We're not responsible for individual runners' spelling or submission mistakes made through your page.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these terms occasionally; the version in force is the one published on the Site when you order.
